CertainTeed Landmark TL in the Moiré Black color was used for this BestWest Roofing roof replacement. We also refurbished the chimney by replacing its counter flashing, with black color matched counter flashing. The original roof deck was tongue and groove, also known as ship lap. This makes for a solid deck in terms of structure, however; we still needed to install plywood overtop to make the surface area completely uniform. All shingle manufacturers highly recommend plywood as the best decking option.
