Protection of plants, gardens, gutters and all other property from falling debris
Safety meeting for all project employees
Removal and disposal of entire roof system, including all flashings
Inspection of exposed roof deck, and repairing damaged areas as necessary
Installation of custom roof system, using RCABC approved roofing practices
Daily and final clean-ups
Inspection for quality and cleanliness
Some indications that suggest the need for a roof replacement:
Water-stains on the ceiling
Roof debris on the ground after heavy winds
Rot, warping, or curling of existing roof material
Extreme moss build-up
New Construction
We perform quality roof installation on brand new structures. This service is simple and straight forward compared to our roof renovation service as the complications of removing an existing roof system do not apply here. Normal scopes of work include:
Safety meeting for all project employees
Installation of custom roof system, using RCABC approved roofing practices
Daily and final clean-ups
Inspection for quality and cleanliness
Repairs and Troubleshooting
From flat tar and gravel roofs to pitched tile roofs, we perform repairs on all types of roof systems. Damage to a roof system can be caused by fallen branches, high winds, and even racoons looking for shelter. For less obvious problems, troubleshooting is often required to identify the issue(s) causing a leak. Troubleshooting requires a high level of know-how and a great deal of patience. Normal scopes of work include:
Troubleshooting to identify the cause of the problem
Advise on practical solutions to solve the problem
Perform necessary repair work as advised
Some indications that your roof is in need of repair:
Water-stains on the ceiling
Roof debris on the ground after heavy winds
Chimney Refurbishing
We refurbish brick chimneys, a service also known as "repointing". Depending on the severity of the damage, our refurbish service may include:
Removal of damaged, weak, or rusted counter flashing and replace with new counter flashing
Replacement of broken or missing chimney caps and lids
Rebuilding sections that have loose brick
Removal of loose, disintegrated mortar from between bricks and replace with new mortar
Clean sections covered in moss and algae
Application of water-resistant brick sealer
Skylights
We can replace skylights as part of an entire roofing project, or individually as a separate service. New Low-E flat glass skylights are much more efficient now than previous generations and can save you on your energy bills. Normal scopes of work for skylight replacements include:
Removal and disposal of existing skylight
Any necessary modifications to the wood curb that supports the skylight
Replacement of J-Trim
Replacement of counter flashing
Application of weather strip
Installation of new skylight
Some indications that suggest the need for a skylight
replacement include:
Water-stains and leaks
Cold drafts
Condensation or water between panes of glass
Cracked or damaged frames
Cedar Sidewall
We install cedar shingle siding, also known as sidewall. For roof systems, we usually don't recommend cedar products for its high cost and lack of sustainability, but for exterior walls it is truly beautiful and very practical. Cedar sidewall stands up well to the elements and lasts much longer than applications used for roofing. The greatest benefit is its ability to add visual warmth and character to a home. Normal scopes of work include:
Protection of plants, gardens, and all other property from falling debris
Safety meeting for all project employees
Removal and disposal of old siding
Installation of cedar sidewall using manufacturers specifications
Daily and final clean-ups
Inspection for quality and cleanliness
Built-In Gutters
We replace and install built-in gutter systems, also known as concealed gutter systems. This is normally a service we offer as part of an entire roofing project, but on some occasions the service can be offered separately. Lifetime roof systems will often outlive the gutters to which they drain, but most other roof systems types such as cedar and asphalt are replaced at the same time. Normal scopes of work include:
Removal of any old system
Installation of new system complete with membrane, drains, and cap metal
Installation of downspouts is optional
Inspection for quality and cleanliness
Additional Services
Roof renovations are often very detail oriented in nature and often require additional services to achieve a truly finished final product. For example we often find ourselves replacing fascia boards, soffits, and gutter systems, while also making repairs to siding, minor structural elements and many other items related to a home's exterior. These services are normally apart of an entire roofing project as opposed to a service we offer on its own.
